Community-Led Research Showcase Event

The North West Community Network, Developing Healthy Communities, in partnership with Ulster University, held a Community-Led Research showcase event on 27th March 2024. 

This event focused on:

• The life-changing Ideas Fund projects
• The impact of the Ideas Fund innovative funding model
• How can we make research processes more community-led and equitable?
 

Our guest speaker, Dr Gill Hughes, University of Hull and Ideas Fund Development Coordinator, presented on relational engagement work between researchers and communities.

Community-Led Research Showcase Event

North West Community Network, Developing Healthy Communities, in partnership with Ulster University, held a second Community-Led Research showcase event on 2nd December 2024 in The Guildhall ,Derry/Londonderry. 


This Café Culture-style event provided the opportunity to learn, connect, and celebrate the power of community-led research!  Our Ideas Fund projects came together to focus on:

  • Our Community Research Collective

  • The life-changing projects

  • The impact of the Ideas Fund innovative funding model

 

Lots of discussion took place to explore how we continue to develop and support community-led researcher collaborations.
